Watch the Third Episode of Our On Cycling Series on

The thrill, excitement, and pure joy of riding a bicycle is a universal pleasure. Under the credo "Cycling Unites", we teamed up with Berlin Bicycle Week to bring together bicycle enthusiasts from around the world and had them find their common ground—on camera. Watch their inspirational conversations and discover their surprising insights as we publish the full series over the next few weeks on in anticipation of the Wiener Fahrradschau.

For the third installment, frame builder Ed Vavilovas and Cicli Berlinetta’s Dustin Nordhus discussed how custom bike frames offer more than just a unique object, but they provide a creative outlet with which riders can express themselves. A frame can be constructed to be less or more comfortable; small parts can be tweaked to give a vintage bike modern-day speed; and, perhaps most importantly, Vavilovas hopes to gift a piece of freedom to a customer when they receive their custom frame.

On Cycling is presented with the support of Soigneur, an independent publication celebrating cycling culture. Soigneur brings together some of the finest stories, reportages, and photo-essays from around the world, online and in print.
